Free entry to Heligan
The sun is shining, and Cornwall is coming to life at a super sonic pace at the moment. The hedgerows are bursting with color; the blue bluebells are the best we have ever seen and the air is warm. We love this time of year and we would love to share it with you. So we have put our thinking caps on and would like to offer you free tickets to The Lost Gardens of Heligan for any new bookings taken before 21st July. Make the most of the quiet roads, the long evenings and stunning gardens before the peak of the summer.
This week I had the great pleasure of enjoying the bluebells at Lanhydrock. I was on a school trip with 27 four and five year olds – they were on a ‘Bear Hunt’. To say I was a little bit dubious about a day out with that many children would be an understatement. But my worries were soon put to one side when the children were whisked away on a magical hunt through the woods which really are looking sensational at the moment. As we approached the woods, you are hit by the smell, the most amazing smell, and then you see the carpet of blue – seriously worth a visit.
Lanhydrock is brilliant at any time of year; for young, old, children and dogs. This stunning National Trust property has a beautiful houses showcasing the best of upstairs down stairs life and the gardens are stunning all year. The acres of grounds are a treat to explore and the play area is one of the best we have been to. Well worth a visit.
